The National Lab for the Study of the College President, at the University of Arkansas, has scheduled its inaugural lecture.

The speaker will be John S. Jackson of the Paul Simon Public Policy Institute on “The Politics and Challenges of Higher Education Today.” The session will be at 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22, 2018, in the Graduate Education Building auditorium on the Fayetteville campus.

Jackson is a former chancellor of Southern Illinois University and an Arkansas native, educated at Ouachita Baptist University, Baylor University and Vanderbilt University. In 2002, he joined the Simon institute, named for the late Illinois senator.
